UFC Hall of Fame legend chases wrestling superstar Grayson Waller away from ringside

A UFC Hall of Fame legend chased WWE superstar Grayson Waller away from ringside at a live event in Las Vegas after being tagged in and jumping the barricade.

The fighter was brought into the action by AJ Styles during an impromptu segment, having repeatedly been taunted by Waller, and was quick to break into a sprint.

Forrest Griffin, a former UFC light heavyweight champion and Ultimate Fighter season one winner, was sat taking in the action at the front before being spotted.

WWE shared the moment Waller began mocking Griffin at the spectacle on Friday.

In the clip, AJ Styles was seen grabbing the microphone and declaring he would make the official tag. He then walked over to Griffin and clapped hands with him.

Griffin promptly removed his watch, hurdled the barrier and ran toward Waller.

After the camera panned toward the end of the ramp, Waller's gang were seen fleeing backstage, leaving the victorious Griffin to soak up the adulation.

He high-fived Styles and Karl Anderson and made his way back to his seat.

At the end, Styles, Anderson and Luke Gallows defeated Waller and Pretty Deadly's Elton Prince and Kit Wilson - with Griffin undisturbed for the rest of the night.

Griffin, 44, was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2013 and currently serves as the vice president of athlete development at the UFC Performance Institute.

Waller was embroiled in an unplanned scare during a WWE event in Newark earlier this month, after an angry spectator jumped over the barricade to attack him.

After mocking some of those ringside with a promo cut ahead of his victory over Odyssey Jones and Cameron Grimes, his moment was marred by the incident.

Failing to calm his temper, the individual launched himself over the barrier in an attempt to reach Waller, but was immediately wrestled to the ground by security.

After the spectator was ejected and dumped back over the fence, Waller and his team-mate Austin Theory strutted around the ring, seemingly unfazed.

Waller took to social media after the match, posting: 'This is what happens when idiot Americans try to get in a battle of wit with an Aussie.'
